School Safety Program
At New-Mac Electric, safety is more than a priority. It’s part of how we serve our communities.
Each school year, we partner with elementary schools across our service area to help students better understand electrical safety through our interactive Power Town demonstration. Designed to be engaging, memorable, and hands-on, Power Town teaches children how electricity works and how to stay safe around it in everyday situations.
The scaled-down electrical model features poles, transformers, buildings, equipment, and two memorable characters, Neon Leon and Lightning Liz, who help bring important safety lessons to life through real-world scenarios and demonstrations.
While the program is especially popular with third and fourth grade students, presentations can be customized for a variety of age groups and community organizations. From classrooms and 4-H clubs to scout troops and civic groups, New-Mac is proud to share this important message with hundreds of students and families each year.

Together, we can help build safer, more informed communities.
